Squall Leonhart Squall is a SEED at Balmb Garden. He uses his gunblade as his weapon. The gunblade is tough to handle so Squall and a few others are the only people that can use one. Squall does not talk with others and is rather nasty at times. He does not care what other people think of him.	Rinoa Heartilly Rinoa is part of a resistance group called the forest owls. She uses her Blaster Edge to shoot a projectile. Rinoa's best friend is her dog, Angelo. Rinoa can be stubborn and is very emotional.
Quistis Trepe Quistes is one of the instructors at Balmb Garden. She is the youngest instructor at the garden. Quistis uses her chain whip in battle but she can also use the blue magic limit break which can be very handy.	Zell Dincht Zell uses his hands for battle. He is the master of hand to hand fighting. He has a energetic personality which sometimes gets him in trouble. His home town is Balmb. Zell's limit break is a combo of different attacks called duel.
Selphie Tillmitt Selphie has just come to Balmb garden from Trabia Garden. She uses her Nunchaku in battle. She is very clumsy but friendly. It seems out of place for a person like her to be in a Garden where they teach pupils to fight.	Irvine Kinneas Irvine is a master sniper. He uses his guns to pick anything off. He is always seen hanging out with the ladies. He seems strong and composed but when he is under pressure he seems to becomes scared.
Laguna Loire Laguna works for the Galbadia Army. Laguna uses a machine gun in battle. His limit break includes him throwing a grenade and shooting all his enemies.	Kiros Seagill Kiros is caring and gentle but deadly in battle. He uses his Katal which blades that he holds in each hand. He fights with Laguna and Ward.
Ward Zabac Ward uses a huge anchor in battle. To hold this he is very strong. When using a limit break Ward throws his anchor into the air and holds onto it as it lands on one of his enemies.	Seifer Almasy Seifer and Squall are rivals. Seifer uses a gunblade just like Squall. He gave Squall a cut on his forehead and Squall did the same to him.
Edea Edea is a mystery. Hardly anything is known about her. She is a witch. She uses magic as a weapon. She was on a show with the President of Galbadia about peace talks. But it is unlikely that there will be any.
