Defeating Ultima Weapon, Bahamut, and obtaining Eden



In this section I will help you defeat the bosses Ultima Weapon, Bahamut, and obtain Eden. I will also show you haow to get to this tough boss. I suggest that you read this over completly before engaging in battle (especially the Preparing for Battle section.)

The first thing you will need to do is find the Deep Sea Reasearch Center. The reaserch center is not on the map. Drive the Raganark to the bottom lefthand corner of the world map and you should see a building in the ocean. Press X to land on top of it. Walk into through the door to the small room with the glowing core in the center of it. (Hint: When you are in the Core room you will notice that you will get into a LOT of battles. To avoid this walk only when the core is not lit. This will take extra time but you wont have to fight and monster.) Remember not to stay in place for long periods of time because the core will have been glowing for quit some time and you will get into battles. Once you reach the part of the core that is in the center walk up to it. A voice (Bahamut) will ask you questions you must answer them correctly. When you answer a question you will have to fight a very hard ruby dragon. If you miss a question you will have to fight a ruby dragon and then he will ask you the question again. Here are the questions and the answers that you must pick.

"So you wish to challenge me?"
Answer him by saying: "It is not our will to fight"

"Begging me for mercy?"
Answer him by saying: "Never"

"Damned imbeciles. Why do you wish to fight?"
Answer him by choosing the third answer (hidden) BELOW the answer "None of your buissness." You can't see the answer but you can select it.

Now you will be forced into a fight with Bahamut. Cast blind on him and he will almost always miss you with his attacks. He can do Mega Flare which is rather powerful so keep your health up. When you win you will have aquired Bahamut. You then need to leave the reaserch center using the Raganark. (Note: You may want to take your time and get you compatability with Bahamut up. Cactuar island is a great place to do this. Use Doomtrain so the cactuars can't run away and then summon him. You get 20 AP for beating ONE cactuar!!!!!) Now head back to the reaserch center. You will notice that the core where you fought Bahamut is not there anymore. Use the save point that appeared and then climb down the destroyed core. You are know in the Deep Sea Deposit. Now there are two ways to get to Ultima Weapon.

With Zell in your party On floor one walk over to the machine. 4 units of steam pressure will be used to open the door to the next level. You will now have 16 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will now have 15 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will now have 14 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will now have 13 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will now have 12 units left. Now you will be in a room with a lot of machines. Zell says that he can control them. Let him control them and then you will be able to get into the next room without using any units. Head all the way through the deposit to the bottom. (Note: There are some tough monsters here so be prepared.) At the bottom there is a large machine with a red panel on it. Before using it save at the hidden save point. Use the Move-Find ability to find it. Take off this ability after saving and add one of your other abilities. Now activate the panel in the room. Now you will be forced to fight Ultima Weapon. (Read the preparing for battle section before activating the machine!)

Without Zell in your party On floor one walk over to the machine. 4 units of steam pressure will be used to open the door to the next level. You will now have 16 units left. Use 3 steam units to open the door to the next level. You will now have 14 units left. Use the monitor to use 4 units to open the door to the Steam Room. You will now have 10 units left. Use the computer there to recharge your steam up to 17. In there you will also find another computer, use this to spen 1 unit. The door to the next level will open. You will have 16 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will now have 15 units left. Use 1 unit to open the door. You will know have 14 units left. To open the last door use 4 units. You will now have the 10 units you need to start the machine. Head all the way through the deposit to the bottom. (Note: There are some tough monsters here so be prepared.) At the bottom there is a large machine with a red panel on it. Before using it save at the hidden save point. Use the Move-Find ability to find it. Take off this ability after saving and add one of your other abilities. Now activate the panel in the room. Now you will be forced to fight Ultima Weapon. (Read the preparing for battle section before activating the machine!)

Preparing for Battle



Give Squall Alexander and Leviathan. Put the command abilitys Revive, Recover, and Item on him. He will not need to use his GFs. Put the character abilitys (below the command abilitys) Auto Potion, Hp Bonuses (HP 40% etc.) and Speed Bonuses. Make sure you have the Lion Heart and have at least one character with the magic ability have Revive, Triple, Aura, Haste, Curaga, and Full-Life.

Have one of your other characters have the magic, item, and GF command abilitys. Put Doomtrain on this person. It would be helpful if you had a hero and the Phonix Pinion (Shumi Quest found in Shumi Village in the northern land area.) If this person has Auto Haste as one of there character abilitys put that on to give you a head start. I will use the name Rinoa for this person because he is the person I used when I fought Ultima Weapon.

Have your last person put on the command abilitys draw, magic, and GF. Make sure he/she has the magic that I stated above. This person will be the one casting Aura on Squall. I will use the name Zell for this person because he is the person I used when I fought Ultima Weapon.

Now you are ready to fight Ultima Weapon make sure you save at the save point because most likely you will be killed many times.



The Battle



Sart out by drawing Eden. If you don't you just forgot the best GF! Have Rinoa (your character may be differnt) summon Doomtrain. This will lower his defenses and Squall's Limit will do five times the damage! Have Zell cast Aura and Haste on Squall. Have Squall revive fallen people with his Revive (wakes people from KO) and Recover (restores HP completly.) Watch out for Ultima Weapon's one hit kill, Light Pillal which destroys one character. Make sure you revive this person quickly because Ultima can easily kill two people in a matter of seconds. Now, if you had not already, use a hero on Squall. Make sure Aura is already on him before you put the hero on because it is very hard to get Aura on after Hero is on. If you casted Aura on Squall and he has Lion heart he will most likely have his limit. Have Squall constantly pound Ultima with his limit and if your lucky you will the Lion Heart limit. While Squall is using his Hero have your other characters revive everybody completly. If you cast triple on Zell he can give Curagas to everybody at the same time. When the Hero runs out keep using Squall's limits until Ultima Weapon falls.

If you drew it you will now have Eden, the best GF ever!!! You will also get 100 Ultima Stones and 100 AP! After the battle save again and junction Eden to one af your characters. Walk all the way back up (there are no battles now) and your free! (Note: Ultima Weapon can have from 51,100 to 160,000 HP.)
