Bulbasaur
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Leech Seed 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Grass
Attack 1 Special: Unless all damage from this attack is prevented, you may remove 1 damage counter from Bulbasaur.
Weakness: Fire
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Keep this one on the Bench. Leech Seed won't work until the second turn, but the damage removal should help keep it alive after that.

Bulbasaur A-01
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Tackle 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 2: Poison Seed 10
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Grass, 1 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.
Weakness: Fire
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Clefairy's Melody Box: Tune Change: Pokemon Battle Music - My personal favorite tune.
Recommendation: This starting Pokemon can KO a 40 HP Pokemon in 2 turns if Poison Seed works. If it is higher than that, just keep attacking and wait it out.
Bulbasaur A-02 NE
Links for this card are the same as above.
Bulbasaur A-02
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Sleep Seed
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Attack 2: Vine Whip 20
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Grass, 1 Colorless
Weakness: Fire
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Clefairy's Melody Box: Instrument Change: To an alien vibration sound.
Recommendation: This card nice to have. You can put to Sleep the first turn without flipping, and attack the second turn with Vine Whip. Alternate between the attacks to do the most damage, and evolve quickly, so you can last even longer.

Erika's Bulbasaur
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Sleep Seed 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Attack 2: Errand-Running
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Grass
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, you may search your deck for a Trainer card. Show it to your opponent and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
Weakness: Fire
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: This starter is an important lifeline for a Grass deck. Sleep Seed puts the Defending Pokemon to bed while Errand-Running gets you the all important Trainer cards. Since Trainer cards are vital to the workings of a deck, this card can bring up as many as you need.
Venusaur B-65 NE

Venusaur B-65
100 HP
Stage 2 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Power: Harvest Bounty: Once during your turn (before you attack), if you attach an Energy card from your hand to your Active Pokemon as part of your turn, you may attach an additional Energy card to that Pokemon at the same time. This power can't be used if Venusaur is affected by a Special Condition.
Attack 1: Body Slam 40
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Grass, 2 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
Weakness: Fire
Retreat Cost: 2
Recommendation: What a card this is! You know those Pokemon that you can never seem to power up in time to attack? This Poke-Power can have you attacking in half the time. Not only that, but Body Slam can do a lot of damage if Paralysis is in your favor.
