Growlithe BS

Home>Pokeprofile>Base Set>Fire

Growlithe
60 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Flare 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 1 Colorless
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Growlithe is not the best starter, but its 60 HP gives it a chance to power up. Attatch close to three extra Energies on him. Trust me on this.

Growlithe NDes

Home>Pokeprofile>Neo Destiny>Fire

Growlithe
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Bite 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Colorless
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: This is another one of those cards which I don't like that much. One attack, 2 Energy cards, and not enough HP and no special effect. This is practically the same as the Base Set Growlithe, except it had more HP to absorb with.

Growlithe C-08 and C-09 Aqua

Home>Pokeprofile>Aquapolis>Fire

Growlithe C-08
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Roar
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: If your opponent has any Benched Pokemon, he or she chooses 1 of them and switches the Defending Pokemon with it.
Attack 2: Firebreathing 10+
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damge.
Weakenss: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Construction Action Game: Map Addition: A double jump pillar to get to the running Growlithe below.
Recommendation: Roar is used the turn after your opponent's opening move. That way, you can do damage with Firebreathing before it can do damage to you. This is the best candidate to evolve so power it up as much as possible.

Links for this card are the same as the above card.

Growlithe C-09
60 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Ember 30
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Discard a Fire Energy card attached to Growlithe.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Clefairy's Melody Box: Instrument Change: Drum Roll
Recommendation: This Basic Battler will constantly discard Energy cards, but at least you will do a lot of damage. Don't bother evolving this one, because it keeps discarding those Energy cards.

Growlithe Sky

Home>Pokeprofile>SkyRidge>Fire

Growlithe
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Flare 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 2: Double Kick 20x
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Flip 2 coins. This attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Part 2 of 4 for an Ursaring mini game.
Recommendation: This is a nice card to have. Flare will do 10 damage on the first turn, but on the second, Double Kick does a max of 40 damage. Keep using Double Kick until it is time to evolve.

Blaine's Growlithe Lv. 15 GH

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Heroes>Fire

Blaine's Growlithe (Level 15)
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Blaze 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Does 10 damage to each Grass Pokemon on your opponent's Bench. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Keep this one on the Bench. This card is a bit like a Bench Destroyer, but only if your opponent has a partial Grass deck. This may be the best candidate to evolve.

Blaine's Growlithe Lv. 17 GH

Links for this card are at the above card.

Blaine's Growlithe (Level 17)
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Shake 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: If your opponent has any Benched Pokemon, he or she chooses 1 of them and switches it with the Defending Pokemon. (Do the damage before switching the Pokemon.)
Attack 2: Fire Tackle 30
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 1 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Blaine's Growlithe does 10 damage to itself.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Use Shake to draw a weaker Pokemon up to the front and use Fire Tackle to weaken it or destroy it. If it only has 10 HP left, use Shake to KO it, so you don't have to do damage to Growlithe.

Blaine's Growlithe GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Blaine's Growlithe
60 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Stoke
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Search your deck for a Fire Energy card and attach it to Blaine's Growlithe. Shuffle your deck afterward.
Attack 2: Body Slam 20
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 2 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: This Pokemon should be a starter. Even though it will take damage the first turn, the 60 HP makes up for the loss. Stoke brings down how many turns Body Slam is powered to 2 instead of 3. Then, Body Slam has a chance to Paralyze while doing damage. This also stalls while the Bench becomes Energized.

Arcanine BS

Home>Pokeprofile>Base Set>Fire

Arcanine
100 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Flamethrower 50
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Fire, 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Discard 1 Fire Energy card attached to Arcanine in order to use this attack.
Attack 2: Take Down 80
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Fire, 2 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Arcanine does 30 damage to itself.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 3
Recommendation: If you powered up Growlithe with extra Energies, you should be fine. Use Take Down once to take out the stronger Pokemon, and use Flamethrower on the others. Don't use Take Down unless you used a Healing Item, or if you know you are going to be knocked out next turn and Flamethrower won't knock him out. Because of its Retreat Cost, you must make a stand and not retreat unless you use a Switch.

Arcanine Aqua

Home>Pokeprofile>Aquapolis>Fire

Arcanine
90 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Body: Extreme Speed: You pay 1 less to retreat Arcanine for each Energy attached to it.
Attack 1: Fire Blow 30+
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 3 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: You may discard any number of Fire Energy cards attached to Arcanine when you use this attack. If you do, flip a number of coins equal to the number of Fire Energy cards you discarded. This attack does 30 damage plus 30 more damage for each heads.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 3
Recommendation: Once Fire Blow is powered up, Extreme Speed will let you retreat with no Energy discarding. Use 5 Fire Energies on Arcanine and discard 3 of them to do a max of 120 damage. That's unlikely, but it can still do an average of 90.

Arcanine Sky

Home>Pokeprofile>SkyRidge>Fire

Arcanine
80 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Power: Energy Recharge: When you play Arcanine from your hand to evolve your Active Pokemon, you may flip 3 coins. For each heads, choose a basic Energy card from your discard pile and attach it to Arcanine.
Attack 1: Shake 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Your opponent switches the Defending Pokemon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokemon, if any.
Attack 2: White Flames 70
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Fire, 1 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Discard all Fire Energy cards attached to Arcanine.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 2
E-Reader: Clefairy's Melody Box: Tune Change: Evolution Music
Recommendation: Energy Recharge is the key to using White Flames the first time. Put only 2 Fire Energy cards onto Arcanine so you can use Shake the turn after you use White Flames. Put 2 more from your hand and repeat the process.

Blaine's Arcanine GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Blaine's Arcanine
90 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Heat Tackle 40
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 2 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Blaine's Arcanine does 10 damage to itself.
Attack 2: Firestorm 120
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 4 Fire
Attack 2 Special: Discard 3 Fire Energy cards attached to Blaine's Arcanine in order to use this attack.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 3
Recommendation: Evolve this one from the Gym Challenge Blaine's Growlithe, so Heat Tackle will be ready to go. Keep using Heat Tackle on the weaker Pokemon and only use Firestorm on the fully evolved Pokemon. Use a Healing Item to take off those damage counters or use a Healing Field to take it off without using a Trainer card.
