Vulpix BS

Home>Pokeprofile>Base Set>Fire

Vulpix
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Confuse Ray 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Confused.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Vulpix isn't the best starter in the world because you waste a turn powering it up. The damage doesn't do that much for the Energies on it. The confusion factor brings its reputation back up.

Vulpix NDes

Vulpix
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Ember 30
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Discard 1 Fire Energy card attached to Vulpix in order to use this attack.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Here is another card that I'm not a big fan of. Let me put it this way. Put it on the Bench and keep it there until it's ready to evolve or it never will.

Vulpix Aqua

Home>Pokeprofile>Aquapolis>Fire

Vulpix
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Collect Fire 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 1 Special: If there are any Fire Energy cards in your discard pile, flip a coin. If heads, attach 1 of them to Vulpix.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Construction Action Game: Map Addition: A flying Ledian on the top, and a walking Vulpix at the bottom. To cross the water in the middle, you must jump onto a moving platform.
Recommendation: This is a nice starter to have. Collect Fire can power up for the evolutions quite well, and it will last long enough for you to evolve it.

Blaine's Vulpix GH

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Heroes>Fire

Blaine's Vulpix
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Natural Healing: Once during your turn (before you attack), you may remove 1 damage counter from Blaine's Vulpix. This power can't be used if Blaine's Vulpix is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
Attack 1: Tail Fan 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 2 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Confused.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Definitely keep this one on the Bench, and once it is out, use the power to keep it alive. Tail Fan may be the only thing that keeps you from loosing at some point.

Blaine's Vulpix GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Blaine's Vulpix
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Bite 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 2: Call Will-o'-the-wisp
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 2 Special: Flip 3 coins. For each heads, if you have a Fire Energy card in your discard pile, put it into your hand.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Is Blaine Irish or something? Or did they just not come up with a good enough name for the second attack? Anyway, this is a good starter, but it is better to have it on the Bench for later. The second attack can put up to 3 Energy cards into your hand if you don't have any. This is good if you always seem to run out in the middle of the game.

Brock's Vulpix GH

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Heroes>Fire

Brock's Vulpix
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Flame 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 2: Quick Attack 10+
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage; if tails, this attack does 10 damage.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: This is a nice twist from the usual Fighting types of Brock. Flame does 20 the first turn. To be honest, you should use it all the time unless you have a Defending Pokemon that can be KO'd by a 30 damage attack.

Brock's Vulpix GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Brock's Vulpix
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Hypnotic Gaze
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Attack 2: Fire Ring 20
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Fire
Attack 2 Special: If your opponent has any Benched Pokemon, choose 1 of them and this attack does 10 damage to it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: The word starter comes to mind when I think of this card. Hypnotic Gaze puts the Defender Asleep without even a flip. Fire Ring, which will be used next turn, does damage to the Defender and to the Bench. You may want to alternate between the 2 attacks to keep him from attacking you, but that is your call.

Ninetails Aqua

Home>Pokeprofile>Aquapolis>Fire

Ninetails
80 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Miracle Tail 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, choose a Special Condition (Asleep, Burned, Confused, Paralyzed, or Poisoned). The Defending Pokemon is now affected by that Special Condition.
Attack 2: Roasting Heat 40+
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Fire, 2 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: If the Defending Pokemon is Burned, this attack does 40 damage plus 20 more damage.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Do you think they want us to choose a certain Special Condition for this card? Use Miracle Tail until the Defending Pokemon is Burned, which can do a max of 50 damage before you have to attack again, and then put the final blow on them by doing a 60 damage Roasting Heat. Not many cards can survive that much abuse.

Light Ninetails NDes

Home>Pokeprofile>Neo Destiny>Fire

Light Ninetails
90 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Guiding Flame
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Put a Baby Pokemon or a Basic Pokemon card from your discard pile onto your Bench. (You can't use this attack if your Bench is full.)
Attack 2: Fire Blast 50
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 3 Fire
Attack 2 Special: Discard a Fire Energy card attached to Ninetails in order to use this attack.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: This is a nice card to have. You can bring up a Basic Battler or Baby Pokemon with Guiding Flame. Fire Blast is weaker than the original but 50 damage with 90 HP serves its purpose. Hey! This is a Light card that doesn't help your opponent!

Blaine's Ninetails GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Blaine's Ninetails
60 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Healing Fire: Whenever you attach a Fire Energy card from your hand to Blaine's Ninetails, remove 1 damage counter from it, if it has any. This power stops working when Blaine's Ninetails is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
Attack 1: Burn Up 50
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Fire
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If tails, discard all Fire Energy cards attached to Blaine's Ninetails.
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 2
Recommendation: Evolve this card from the Gym Heroes Blaine's Vulpix. It has 3 Energy cards attached to it already, and it has been healed by its power. When you use Burn Up, you'd better hope for a heads, because tails makes you start all over again with the Energies.

Brock's Ninetails GC

Home>Pokeprofile>Gym Challenge>Fire

Brock's Ninetails
70 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Shapeshift: Once during your turn (before you attack), you may attach an evolution card from your hand to Brock's Ninetails.) Treat Brock's Ninetails as if it were that Pokemon instead. It can't evolve, devolve, or use the Pokemon Power of that Pokemon. During your turn, you may discard the Evolution card attached to Brock's Ninetails. This power can't be used if Brock's Ninetails is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. If Brock's Ninetails becomes Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed, discard all Evolution cards attached to it.
Attack 1: Will-o'-the-wisp 30
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Fire
Weakness: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Ow! This Pokemon power is long, but it is very useful! Have you ever gotten a Stage 2 Evolution card, but you can't find the specific Stage 1 card to evolve it from? This card can act as a bridge by just placing it on Brock's Ninetails. The long attack name which I don't want to type again does a weak 30 damage, so use the power quickly.
