Noctowl SkyRidge

Hoothoot NG

Links for this card are the same as above.

Hoothoot
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Hypnosis
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Attack 2: Peck 20
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 2 Colorless
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 1
Recommendation: Power this one up the old-fashioned way, 1 Energy at a time. Use Hypnosis the first turn to stall and put the opponent to sleep. The second turn you can do 20 damage with Peck. You may want to alternate between the two attacks to keep the Defending Pokemon from doing damage to you.

Hoothoot
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Hypnosis
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Attack 2: Eerie Light
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Confused.
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Part 1 of 4 for a Hoothoot mini-game.
Recommendation: 2 words for you: Stall Card. Hypnosis keeps the opponent from attacking you, but Eerie Light can do more damage because of Confusion. But don't wait too long to evolve it.

Noctowl NG

Home>Pokeprofile>Neo Genesis>Colorless

Noctowl
60 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Glaring Gaze: Once during your turn (before you attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, look at your opponent's hand. If your opponent has any Trainer cards there, choose 1 of them. Your opponent shuffles that card into his or her deck. This power can't be used if Noctowl is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
Attack 1: Wing Attack 30
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 3 Colorless
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
Recommendation: Glaring Gaze is an important power if your opponent has a Healing Item in his or her hand. Use the power to take it away so that you can KO the Defending Pokemon without worrying about your opponent healing it. If Hoothoot used Peck, then Wing Attack should work well if you attach an Energy the turn you evolve it. If Noctowl is on the outs, switch it and keep using Glaring Gaze.

Noctowl
70 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Power: Investigate: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 2 cards of any player's deck of at up to 2 of any player's Prizes. Put any cards you looked at back in the same order. This power can't be used if Noctowl is affected by a Special Condition.
Attack 1: Triple Smash 10+
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 2 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Flip 3 coins. This attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each heads.
Weakness: Electric
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
E-Reader: Construction Action Game: Level Addition: 1 Flying Noctowl up top. Must jump above 2 water pits onto thin pillars to get to it. Watch out for the Poliwag on the other side. It shoots Bubbles that can go through walls diagonally.
Recommendation: This card is good for checking out your prizes if you don't have a Here Comes Team Rocket! handy. I'd only attack a Basic Pokemon with this weak Noctowl though. Its attack can only do a max of 40 damage, which is a 1 out of 8 chance of doing so. In other words, it wouldn't last long against an evolved Pokemon.
