Hoppip
50 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Hop 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 2: Sprout
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 2 Special: Search your deck for a Basic Pokemon named Hoppip and put it onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. (You can't use this attack if your Bench is full.)
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
Recommendation: This is a pretty straightforward card. Hop does a weak 10 damage with 1 Energy card. If it's Grass, that is all you'll need for an evolution, because this is the best candidate to evolve. Sprout gets more Pokemon to the Bench if you need it.

Hoppip
30 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Rolling Tackle 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
Recommendation: This is a nice little starter, but it doesn't last very long. In 2 turns, it can do 40 damage, but you have to either switch or evolve it if you don't want it to be Knocked Out. The 0 Retreat Cost keeps that option open, but just make sure that you don't have it for a last defense.

Hoppip
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Attack 1: Sleep Powder 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Part 2 of 2 for a Hoppip/Pichu Mini-Game.
Recommendation: This is a cute little starter. Sleep Powder starts the opponent snoring, and if the coins flip your way, he'll be there for a while. That way, you can give damage without taking any.

Hoppip
40 HP
Basic Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Body: Lightweight: You pay 1 less to retreat Hoppip for each Grass Energy attached to it.
Attack 1: Careless Tackle 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Hoppip does 10 damage to itself.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Clefairy's Melody Box: Pattern Change: Floating Hoppip
Recommendation: Don't use Careless Tackle for too long; switch or evolve as soon as you can.

Skiploom
60 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Poisonpowder 10
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 1 Special: The Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.
Attack 2: Stun Spore 10
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Paralyzed.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
Recommendation: Since it only takes 1 Energy card to do 10 damage with either attack, you have a choice. If your opponent has an attack ready to come close to KOing your Pokemon, use Stun Spore. If the Defender is fresh, use Poisonpowder to weaken it.

Skiploom
60 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Attack 1: Hop 20
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 2: Mysterious Powder 10
Attack 2 Energy Cost: 1 Grass
Attack 2 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Confused.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Fighting
Retreat Cost: 0
Recommendation: This is a great card. Use Mysterious Powder until the Defending Pokemon is Confused, then use Hop to do 20 damage until the Defending Pokemon is KO'd. Repeat the process again with the new Defending Pokemon.

Skiploom
60 HP
Stage 1 Pokemon
Pokemon Power: Poke-Body: Lightweight: You pay 1 less to retreat Skiploom for each Grass Energy attached to it.
Attack 1: Break Powder 10+
Attack 1 Energy Cost: 1 Colorless
Attack 1 Special: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20 more damage. If tails, this attack does 10 damage and the Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: Water
Retreat Cost: 1
E-Reader: Construction Action Game: Map Addition: 2 jumping Skiplooms in a row that must be taken out quickly.
Recommendation: This is better than Hoppip. Break Powder can do a max of 30 damage or 10 damage with a bonus of Sleep. This can slow the Defending Pokemon down while you keep on attacking.
