Trainer Text: Flip a coin. If tails, do 10 damage to your Active Pokemon. If heads, your opponent flips a coin. If tails, your opponent does 10 damage to his or her Active Pokemon. If heads, you flip a coin. Keep doing this until a player gets tails.
Recommendation: Like many Rocket's Secret Machines, it carries a risk of doing something bad to your Pokemon, but if 10 HP is between a win and a loss, I'd say it is worth it.
Challenge
Challenge
Trainer Text: Ask your opponent if he or she accepts your challenge. If your opponent declines (or if both Benches are full), draw 2 cards. If your opponent accepts, each of you searches your decks for any number of Basic Pokemon cards and puts them face down onto your Benches. (A player can't do this if his or her Bench is full.) When you both have finished, shuffle your decks and turn those cards face up.
Recommendation: A good card if you don't have any Benched Pokemon, but the thing is, unless your opponent is in the same boat, he or she will decline. But at least you still get to draw 2 cards.
The Boss's Way
The Boss's Way
Trainer Text: Search your deck for an Evolution card with Dark in its name. Show it to your opponent and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.
Recommendation: Use this card to search for Evolutions that you could use right away. Some people use this card to hurry the Stage 2 Evolution and power it up on the way.
Imposter Oak's Revenge
Imposter Oak's Revenge
Trainer Text: Discard a card from your hand in order to play this card. You opponent shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck, then draws 4 cards.
Recommendation: This card is good and bad. The good is when your opponent has something good in his or her hand and has to put it back into the deck. The bad is that he or she might get something that is needed. You don't really know.
Nightly Garbage Run
Nightly Garbage Run
Trainer Text: Choose up to 3 Basic Pokemon cards, Evolution cards, and/or basic Energy cards from your discard pile. Show them to your opponent and shuffle them into your deck.
Recommendation: This is a good card if you lost an important evolution that you may need later. Bring it out and shuffle it back into your deck. Then use a Poke Ball or a Computer Search to get it out.
Sleep!
Sleep!
Trainer Text: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Asleep.
Recommendation: A coin flip card that can put a Pokemon to Sleep. Oh, that's original (sarcastically). Use this card only if you don't have a Pokemon that can do this anyway.
Goop Gas Attack
Goop Gas Attack
Trainer Text: All Pokemon Powers stop working until the end of your opponent's next turn.
Recommendation: This is a great card if you count on evolutions, and you are up against a Fossil Aerodactyl. Its power keeps you from evolving, so now it is time to stop it with this card.
Rocket's Sneak Attack
Rocket's Sneak Attack
Trainer Text: Look at your opponent's hand. If he or she has any Trainer cards, choose 1 of them. Your opponent shuffles that card into his or her deck.
Recommendation: Trainer cards are a main point in strategy, so if you impair that strategy by putting that card away for a while, you can make the opponent fall apart. Just make sure which card to take out.
Here Comes Team Rocket!
Here Comes Team Rocket!
Trainer Text: Each player plays with his or her Prize cards face up for the rest of the game.
Recommendation: Have you ever searched your deck for a card you really need, just to discover that it's in your prizes? Well, this card shows you where it is, so you can take it up next time you KO a Pokemon. Of course, that does the same for your opponent, but it's just a chance that will have to be taken.
