This would be in the late 1830's or early 1840's. He died at the age of forty-two . . . The

Notes

The last will and testament of John Cain of Boleebane in Baaldin of the
Parish of KK Braddan who departed this life about the ____th Jany 1726.
First - He was of perfect mind and memory at the making of this will.
And commended his soul to God and body to a Christian buriall.
Item - He left to his son and heir John Cain the meadow that was in
mortgage redeemed by this testator and his wife Christian upon which
consideration he the said John is to pay his stepmother and the executors
fifty shillings. He also left to John five shillings with 3
plow gears.
ITEM
To his son Patrick a sheep and a lamb.
To his son Finlo a sheep and a lamb.
To his son Robt a sheep and a lamb.
To his grandson John a lamb.
To his loving wife Christian a quarter of the lands during her life with
his part of the riding horse, a fir chest and the little pot.
To his daughter Margt (besides her proportion of the executorship) a
sheep and a lamb with a blankett and a bolster.
To his son Willm the little horses that were this own which no body else
had ought to say to.
LASTLY He appointed his son Willm and daughter Margt sole executors of
all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatoever cutting of
all claimers 1 shilling legacy.

horse as legacy.
