Other Quayle References:
"Among those who came with the movement of 1827 were the families of
Mr. Kerruish. Rev. Thomas Corlett, avid Thomas Quayle, the latter one of
the names most prominently
connected with the development of the lake merchant marine."
"I have info on Quayle family immigrated to Western Reserve area near
Lake Erie, now Cleveland, OH. Apparently one Thomas Quayle came from IOM
in 1827
at age of 16. He later became a prominent ship builder on the Great
Lakes. He built the "Thomas T. Graves". There is a 10p IOM stamp issued
for him. I don't know if this is a relation or not, but I recently found
it while researching "TEARE"
Good Luck! RON TEARE (Ballavik@aol.com)
A passenger listed by Thomas Kelley's Journal of his 1827 passage to
America was John Quayle.
