The B.E.P. makes the difference!

U.S. Patent No. 5,551,306

The B.E.P. eliminates grounding problems and
rejects electrical noise.

High accuracy, no grounding rings, and the lowest cost are just a few of the features in the latest technology magnetic flowmeters-- the B.E.P. These are velocity meters that measure conductive liquids. The obstructionless flow tube allows you to measure liquids with suspended solids, slurries, even abrasive or corrosive liquids. The conductivity of the liquid may be as low as 3 microsiemens and the process viscosity, pressure, or density has no effect on the accuracy of the meter.

The features of the B.E.P. Meters are provided by the latest technology which is a combination of a balanced electrode plane and a liner magnetic field. You will be pleased with the product, the features, and the price.

Shown is the interrelationship between the magnetic
field, the electrostatic field, the grounding electrodes,
and the sensing electrodes.

Features

  • High Accuracy-better price.
+/- 0.5% of rate. Comparable meters with this accuracy cost considerably more.
  • Balanced electrode plane.
Eliminates the need for grounding rings.
  • Lower flow rates.Measures down to 0.25 fps maintaining accuracy.
  • Adaptive response. Offers faster response time to sudden changes. Averages quicker due to adaptive circuity. This provides more accurate totalization.
  • Non-collapsible liner.

What is the B.E.P.? How is it different?

B.E.P. stands for Balanced Electrode Plane-- the latest technology in mag flowmeters, for which patent applications have been filed. In the B.E.P. design, there are two grounding electrodes in the same plane, rotated 90 deg, to the sensing electrodes. The coil geometry creates a magnetic field which is uniform across the major diameter of the pipe in the plane of the electrodes. In doing so, important benifits are insured.

First, external grounding rings are eliminated. Second, the entire process of measuring the average velocity is now forced to occur within the balanced electrode plane. Third, electrical noise is truly rejected. Since the magnetic field is uniform and the liquid is measured at the moment that it travels through the balanced electrode plane, the B.E.P. offers you more accurate measurment. Now you can have high accuracy and low cost.
