8/22 Update

New Items from the Doughboy Store – Pillsbury has new items available through their Doughboy Points program. The new items include a fleece pullover, giggling beanbag doll, giggling bank, holiday stocking, holiday ornament, talking watch, backpack, toy school bus, cap, wallpaper border, playground ball, and kid’s slumber bag. The afghan, cookbook and giggling cookie jar from the last promotion are still available. The offer is good until 2/29/00. Burger King now has Doughboy points on its Cini-minis and had a large cardboard display with the coupons. See www.doughboy.com for more details and pictures of each item.

New Doughboy and Sprout Magnets – Two new magnets are available from Fun 4 All. One is the Doughboy and one is Sprout. They look exactly like the keys chains made by this company a few years ago. They are made of a hard plastic and are 3” high. I bought them at We’re Entertainment for $3.95 each.

New Doughboy Cookies – Pillsbury has added something cute to its line of refrigerated cookies! These cookies have the outline of the Doughboy in them. These are the slice and bake cookies in a cardboard tube that normally come out with a holiday design. Check your grocery stores for these. Then you have to decide whether or not to eat the Doughboy.

New Items at the Doughboy Shop - The Online Doughboy Shop has many new items available. There is a gumball machine, a set of ceramic bowls and a milk pitcher to match the Baker's Series items, and a new line of ceramics matching the All American Boy linens. The new line includes a cookie jar, spoon rest, tool holder, soap dispenser, salt & pepper shakers, canister set, and scouring pad holder. The Doughboy shop is also carrying the curtains, tablecloths and ironing board covers. The link to the site is www.doughboyshop.com.

1999 Doughboy Carlton Christmas Ornament - The 1999 Carlton Christmas ornaments are out and once again, there is a Doughboy ornament. It's called "Poppin Fresh Goodies". The ornament shows the Doughboy pushing a cart of cookies. The handle is a rolling pin! The price is $16.95. Check stores that sell Carlton cards & gifts.

Two New Doughboy Magnets - Two new magnets are available at Spencer's. One shows the Doughboy on a purple background and says "Vincent Van Dough". The other shows the Doughboy on a red & white checkerboard background and has the Pillsbury symbol. They each measure 3" x 2". They are dated 1999 TPC. The price was $3.50 each.

New Doughboy Curtains - There are two different styles of Doughboy curtains available. Both sets include three pieces - valance, swags, and tiers. The first style matches the blue and white linens which have the Doughboy with a wooden spoon in one hand and a spatula in the other hand. They are being sold at JCPenney. The second style matches the All American Boy linens and has the Doughboy with the red, white and blue background with stars and apples. They are being sold at Meijers and Kmart.

New Baker's Series Spoonrest - A new Doughboy spoonrest is available that matches the Baker's series items. The spoonrest has the Doughboy holding the plate of cookies but also has a flour sack beside him. Lechter's is selling the spoonrest for $7.99.

New Doughboy Items from Danbury Mint - Two new items are available from the Danbury Mint. The first is a porcelain Doughboy doll called "Baked to Perfection". It is 12" high and has posable arms. He comes with an apron on and a white neckerchief and hat. The blue oven mitt and the plate of cookies are removable. It is the first doll in a set of four. The price is $78.00 including shipping. The second new item is a Christmas Cottage. It is also one in a set of four in the Pillsbury Christmas Village. It shows the Doughboy decorating a cookie cottage for Christmas. It also lights up. Doughboy Kitchen Set - A new child's kitchen set is available at Toys R Us. The set includes a mixer and food processor that move, play containers of cake mix, icing and milk, eggs, butter, mixing bowl, oven mitt, rolling pin, utensils, and more. The Doughboy is pictured on many of the items. The set comes in a large box and costs $14.99. For ages 4 and up!

Doughboy All American Boy Linens - Another set of new Doughboy linens! This series is called "All American Boy". Each item shows the Doughboy with apples, pies, and bags of Pillsbury flour. The items in the set include: oven mitt, pot holder, wash cloth, dish towel, tie towel and vinyl placemat. I found these at Kohl's.

New Doughboy Utensils - Lechter's has some new Doughboy utensils. The items I have found so far include pastry brush, jumbo scraper, balloon whisk, 4 piece baking set, jumbo spoon/spatula, and measuring cups & spoons combo set. All items have the Doughboy on the handles. The handles are much bigger than the previous utensils and have more of a "grip" to hold. All items were priced under $3.00.
