Discard highly perishable foods such as milk, eggs, meat and poultry from refrigerator within 24 hours.
Boil water before consuming it.
Do not open freezers till power is restored.
Call local health department if in danger of overheating.
Contact elderly, shut-in, or ill friends, neighbors and relatives to see if they need help.
Conserve water. Do not water lawns or wash cars. Postpone doing laundry.
Please do not call 9-1-1 except in case of absolute emergency.
Drink bottled water if possible.

Stay in the shade, wear light clothing, drink plenty of water.
