Nursing Organization Liaison Forum (NOLF)

The NOLF organization was established by ANA in 1982 to provide a form across nursing organizations in addressing professional and national health policy issues. Today, there are 80 nursing organizations participating in the NOLF organization. Any organization can join NOLF if the majority of governing body is composed of Registered Nurses and whose purpose is to focus on current and emerging nursing issues.

In the past, the NOLF worked together to promote the development of Nursing's Agenda on Health Care Reform. This document has guided many nursing organizations to develop and support legislative agendas supporting health care for all Americans. A second effort by NOLF has been to focus on nursing education. Through collaborative efforts across organizations, NOLF has been able to introduce and obtain support for nursing education.
