Praised by critics for his passionate expression and dazzling technique, pianist Andrew Armstrong has delighted audiences around the world. He has performed solo recitals and with orchestras in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States, including performances at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory , the Kennedy Center and Warsaw's National Philharmonic.  In chamber music, he has performed with the Alexander, American and Manhattans Quartets, as well as with Itzhak Perlman.

A resident of New York City, Mr. Armstrong is married to violinist Ayako Yoshida, guest artist for our March 4 concert. In  January, he performed in a duo with Ayako at the National Gallery; the performance was broadcast nationally on National Public Radio's "Performance Today."
