WELCOME TO WORSHIP Participation in Communion is open to all baptized Christians who have been instructed in the meaning of Communion and who believe that Christ is truly present in this Sacrament. Worthy participation means trusting the words "given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins." When partaking i n Communion the first cup offered is always the grape juice and the second is the wine. Please sign the Friendship Register indication that you will commune.
GUESTS Welcome to Zion. If you have no church home in the area, we invite you to unite with us in worship and word. Please sign the Friendship Register in your pew and the Guest Book in the Narthex. A nursery is available for children under 5.
COFFEE & FELLOWSHIP for all in the Frances Grimes Room following the worship services. If you are able t o help furnish goodies one week, please sign the sheet on the table. ** At the time of announcements please pass the Friendship Register from the center aisle to the end, sign the name of those worshipping, communion record and other pertinent information . Return the register to the center aisle. Take a look at the names of those seated near you and make an effort to get acquainted after worship.

NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS STARTS TODAY - Personalities of the Bible - Pastor Martin will be teaching this class and it will be held upstairs over the Sanctuary in the classroom next to the Senior High Class.

HEART'S - N - HANDS QUILTING GROUP There are quilt kits in the church office that you may take home and work on. Please sign the sheet when you take one. We are in need of donations of twin sheets (any color) and fabric.
THE HEARTS-N-HANDS GROUP IS OFFERING 10 OF THEIR QUILTS FOR SALE AT THE PRICE OF $35 EACH. (this will be on a first come, first served basis).The money will go to help the quilters purc hase much needed supplies such as batting and another sewing machine etc... The quilts will be on display on Sunday, April 3rd when they will be dedicated. You may also see the quilts in the Frances Grimes Room on Sunday, March 16th. If you would like to purchase one please see Nancy Sandberg (she usually attends the 10:45 am service). If you are attending the 8:15 am service you may speak with Ralph Wesser. The remaining quilts will be given to Lutheran World Relief.

PENNIES FROM HEAVEN - The Men's Fellowship Group is still collecting those pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters anything you can spare to help supp ort our programs. So if you have been putting your spare change in a jar, can, bucket, drawer, we certainly could use them, Maybe there's even some in your couch cushion. This adds up and has helped us so much over the years! You may bring your donations to the church office, or you may place them in the Huddle Hut on the table in the Frances Grimes Room
CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT - SAT. MARCH 12TH EVERYONE is welcome and even more important, everyone is needed to participate in the Congregational Retreat on March 12th. Please come to share your thoughts and ideas about what works well at Zion and what you would like to see happen to make us a stronger and more active Lutheran community. We need all members to participate in this event, from our youngest to the oldest, those who serve on committees and participate in women's and men's groups, in our music program, those who come to Sunday School and Worship Services and those who don't. It is important that we hear from everyone, whatever your involvement at Zi o n. This will be a day to dream about what we would like to become and then talk about how we can make our ideas into reality. The days activities will begin at 10:00 am and end around 2:00 pm. Lunch and snacks will be served. There will be child care avai l able for those whose children are too young to participate in the discussions. Please don't miss out on this chance to get to know each other better and to invest ourselves in helping Zion Lutheran Church grow. Questions about the day should be directed t o the pastors or to Loretta Bassler.
