| 4-H
offers a total educational program for youth from the third grade
to age 21. In 1998-99, over 1,000 youth and 100 adult
volunteers enrolled in 4-H activities. About 300 youth are
in community based clubs, approximately 800 youth are involved in
nutrition programming, while 50 students are involved in other
in-school programs. All aspects entail "hands-on"
learning experiences in personal growth and citizenship training
through the development of mental, physical and social skills and
mora values. Community and county involvement are available
to all youth. No fees are required. The 4-H
residential camp is located at Glenwood Park. |
