Guardian of Life's Dreams (GOLD)

The Guardian of Life's Dreams (GOLD) is currently one of nine (9) guardianship programs serving a portion of the Commonwealth of Virginia. GOLD is unique in that we're not sistered with an agency. GOLD is a non-profit organization providing guardian/conservator services to adults (18 and older) residing in our service area (Tazewell and Buchanan Counties) that are indigent and have no family or family that desire not to be considered for guardian/conservator. Currently our caseload is thirty individuals.

GOLD's mission is one of being responsible for community education to help individuals understand the alternatives to guardianship, providing information on how to access and use available resources, developing new community resources so that guardianship is the last alternative and ensuring gaurdians/conservators are available.
